3. Then just click on Train Ticket it will load for a second then you can see login and register option there. Just click on Register.

4. Then you have to fill your details like below image.

5. Then it will verify your email id and mobile number by sending an OTP.

6. After finishing of verification you can log in with your username and password given while registering.

7. Now it will ask you to generate a 4 digit pin. Just put 4 digit pin and click on save.

That’s it you have made an IRCTC registration.

Like the above registration process in the mobile app, it’s very easy to create an account on the website just follow the below steps.

1. Just go to this signup link it will redirect you to the signup form.

2. Then fill your username and check it’s availability. If it’s available then fill all details carefully.

3. Then after submitting all details click on submit a registration form and click on OK to continue your registration.

4. Now it will show you to accept it’s terms and condition, just click on ACCEPT.

5. Now you will see a thanks message.

That’s it you have successfully created Irctc account.

How to book the train ticket online.

In our country, the maximum number of people depends on Train to travel to distant places.

But the problem is you have to wait in a long queue for booking a ticket from a Railway station. It’s a very difficult process to do. Sometimes we missed the train for this reason.

How to book train ticket/do IRCTC registration through Irctc mobile app.

Booking a train ticket through Irctc mobile app is very easy.

1. Just open the Irctc Connect app.

2. Then just select your date, destination, and origin to search the train.

3. It will show you a list of the train going to your destination and check for availability of seats.

4. Then click on Book Now then it will redirect you to add the passenger.

5. Just add passenger name, age, gender. After that click on Done.

6. Then click on Book Ticket button it will redirect you to the payment page.

7. Just choose your desired payment method to book the ticket.

Voila!!! you have successfully booked train ticket through Irctc app.

How to book train ticket through Irctc website.

It’s also very easy to book through Irctc website. Just follow the below steps mentioned below.

1.First, go to www.irctc.co.in .

2. Then fill your username, password and click on login. Then you will be redirected to Plan My Travel page.

3. Enter From as your current city and To as where you want to go. Then click on the date and choose your desired date.

4. Choose Ticket Type as E-Ticket.

5. Then click on quota and choose your quota, there is 3 option available General{For normal Booking}, Physical Handicapped, Ladies{For Ladies Only}.

6. Then it will search for a list of trains and show you the results according to your searches.

7. Then you have to choose your train and Class First Ac {1A}, Second Ac{2A}, Third Ac{3A} Chair Car{CC}, Sleeper Class{SI}, and Second Sleeper{2S}.

8. After choosing your class it will show you Available Seats on that train.

9. Then choose your train and click on Book Buton, It will redirect you to the Ticket Reservation form.

10. Now fill this form, you can book the ticket for 6 people in the case of general and 4 people for tatkal booking at a time.

11. Now fill the Name, Age, Sex. If you have any  Senior Citizen traveling with you can check the box (You have to show your id for this) because there is some discount scheme for Senior Citizens.

12. If you have any child less than 5 years traveling with you, you can enter their name as well.

13. Now enter the passenger mobile number to receive the e-ticket on your mobile number through Sms. You can show this ticket to TC.

14. Now fill the captcha and click on Go Button.

15. Then it will redirect you to the payment section, then just click on Make Payment.

That’s it you have successfully booked train ticket through Irctc website.

Now we have to track our PNR number.

What is PNR number?

Full form of PNR is Passenger Name Record.

It generally holds the record of the person or a group of person who is traveling on that train.

By this, you can check your travel details.

It will issue by Irctc when you book a railway ticket, you can look at the top left corner for this number.

How to Check PNR Status In online and offline?

Offline: – There are two methods through which you can check your PNR status.

PNR status through SMS:-

Just send your “PNR Number ” to 5676747 or 57886 or 5888.

In the place of “PNR number” enter your PNR number which you get on the top left corner of your ticket.

After sending this message, sometimes the time you will receive a message having passenger name and your seat confirmation status and other details of your reservation.

By Call:-

This is very simple you just have to call”139″ and follow the instruction.

Online:-

This is the easiest method among all the above.

1. Just visit the website.
2. Then just enter your PNR number.
3. And then fill the captcha and click on get status.
4. Now it will show you all the details.

What Next?

You will receive PNR status with some codes.  Now we are going to know the meaning of codes.

Meaning OF PNR Status Codes:-

• CNF: -Confirmed
• RAC: – Reservation Against Cancellation
• WL: – Waiting List Number
• GNWL: – General Waiting List
• RLWL: –  Remote Location Wait List
• CAN/MOD: – Cancelled or modified Passenger
• PQWL: – Pooled Quota Wait List
• R# #RAC: – Coach Number Berth Number
• Released Ticket: – Not Cancelled but Alternative Accommodation Provided.

That’s the meaning of PNR status code.

Train Ticket Cancellation Rules:-

1. Note the ticket which booked through online can only be canceled in Online.

2. And those tickets which booked at the counter can only be canceled at the counter.

Train Ticket Cancellation Charges:-

The cancellation charge for a train ticket depends on your class, cancellation time, ticket status.

IRCTC Tatkal Ticket Cancellation Rules:-

According to Indian railways, there is no refund on cancellation of a confirmed Tatkal ticket I,e if you cancel a confirmed tatkal ticket then you will not get any refund.

Cancellation Rules for Waiting List Tickets:-

Irctc gives the refund on waiting list ticket but it depends upon the time and status of the ticket.

But you have to cancel the ticket before the preparation chart table.

If you booked your ticket through online and your ticket is in waiting list after chart preparation then your ticket will be auto-canceled and the refund will be processed according to the Railway rules.

So you can’t travel on this ticket.
